Highlights of Ryan’s life, captured on video

Even after his death, Ryan Turner still continues to inspire and encourage others.

A 50-minute video tribute produced was originally compiled in October 1997, two monts after losing Ryan, for the Turners’ church as a thanks for their support. Hundreds of copies have now been sent around the world. The video includes clips of Ryan quoting scripture, playing with his sisters and the entire music video "For Pete’s Sake."

Now, we have divided the footage into segments, which are hosted on a dedicated Remembering Ryan YouTube Channel. Enjoy the teasers below, then head to our channel to watch more.

A child of God

Ryan knew God’s love in a deep and profound way, drawing on the faith of his parents and a curiosity to learn more.

A fighter

Ryan’s journey was a rollercoaster of hope and despair, good days and hard ones.

A legacy in music

COREfor is an organization promoting positive change through people. We embrace the belief that ordinary people can impact the lives of others. Our projects will always be dedicated to causes and community efforts that help people in need of care.

A bright spot

Ryan had the chance to communicate with other sick kids through an innovative program called Starbright World. Like he did so often, he shared his favorite poem, “Blue Skies.”

"The video tribute really brings together Ryan's life, our lives, and our fight through this thing in an accurate way. It helps us now as people hear about him to have the video to share. Our desire for each tribute is for people to watch it and pass it on. We don’t want the tapes back. We just hope that each person who sees, hears or reads about Ryan is touched in a special way."
